In this guitar class we’ll work on adapting popular fiddle tunes played at jams and festivals. We’ll explore the styles of flat picking greats such as Clarence White, Doc Watson, and Tony Rice, and how they put their stamps on the style.
Students will learn:
- Commonly played fiddle tunes
- Improved right and left hand technique
- Scales and chords up the neck
Prerequisites: Intermediate level. Students should be comfortable playing chords and melodies in G major and minor, c major. A capo will be necessary for the class.
