Jerry Douglas has dominated the dobro world for four decades. He is widely recognized as the finest Bluegrass dobro player, but has also shattered boundaries long associated with the dobro. He has taken an instrument pigeonholed as Bluegrass or Country and shown it can thrive in any musical situation. In this class we will dig deep into eight of his songs/solos. Songs that range from fiddle tunes to Bluegrass to New Grass to pop. Songs from his immense solo catalogue and those associated with J.D. Crowe, Tony Rice, Alison Krauss and Mumford and Sons.
