Four Wednesdays, May 25-June 15, 6-7 PM
This class will be an extension of our past term of Intermediate Repertoire. We'll learn some more classic bluegrass and other tunes, and emphasize learning how to improvise, both over chord changes and with certain melodies.
Mandolin Intermediate Repertoire is recommended for those who have completed Mandolin 3 at Louisville Folk School or mandolin players capable of playing several fiddle tunes at a moderate speed.
Topics we’ll build on include:
Techniques for creating solos to songs
Expanding your repertoire of Old-time, bluegrass, ragtime and Celtic tunes
Continue expanding your chord vocabulary with closed position "chop" chords
Techniques to increase your speed
Open to all, ages 11 through Adult
