Private lessons with Andy Brown

Andy's private lessons are taught virtually on Facetime or Zoom.

Hailing from the foothills of rural Eastern Kentucky, Andy Brown has been deeply rooted in Bluegrass, Country and Old-Time music from an early age. Growing up in a family with a touring musician parent, Andy has come to music in an organic fashion.  After receiving his first guitar at age eight, music seemed to be the most logical path. He’s built a reputation for his progressive upright bass playing, his distinctive singing voice and easy going attitude.

Andy is a recent graduate of the Kentucky Center for Traditional Music at Morehead State University under the direct tutelage of Raymond and Ruth McLain.

Andy has played with artists such as Chera-lynn Kennedy, 2012 National Dulcimer Champion Sara-Kate Morgan, internationally touring band Sundy Best, Nick Jamerson, Grayson Jenkins and the Resolutions, and Louisville’s own Josh Card, amongst many other artists.

24 hour advanced cancellation required for a reschedule of any private lessons. Lessons canceled with less than 24 hours notice will not be made up or refunded.
