Women’s Singing - Old Songs and New Songs with Julia Purcell
In this class, we will explore songs from a variety of cultural and folk
traditions, from the original song to more modern versions of the same
song. We will take time to investigate the evolution of a song; how
environments, people, faith traditions, struggle, landscape and many other
elements shape a song.

This course for women will focus on voice as the main instrument. Students may bring
an accompanying instrument towards the end of the semester.
