Instructor: Kathryn Brooks

Kathryn Brooks is a multi-instrumentalist who teaches guitar and dulcimer at the Louisville Folk School and guitar at the Waldorf School of Louisville. Outside of teaching, Kathryn is a songwriter who performs her original material from coast to coast. Her latest release is a single entitled "Forgive Me For That Too," which is available on all streaming platforms. Kathryn's writing and teaching are steeped in Kentucky's Americana, folk, and country traditions. Introducing traditional songs to new audiences is how Kathryn learned to play guitar as a young person and why she is passionate about teaching that material to others.
