Instructor: Romana Bereneth

Romana has been teaching music in private and group settings since 2018, with a focus on guitar, piano, and contemporary vocals. She is a graduate of Cornell University, where she double majored in English and Biology. She went on to earn a Ph.D. in Microbiology and her medical degree from the University of Louisville. After a brief time working as a resident, she decided to pursue her true passion in life: music!

A lifelong creative, Romana started playing guitar at the age of twelve and quickly expanded to woodwinds in high school and college. She has played a variety of instruments in ensembles ranging from classical and folk to surf rock and metal. 

Romana will bring her love of Django Reinhardt to the Folk School, of course, and will offer private lessons in acoustic guitar and piano.
