Advanced Mandolin Techniques with Harris Gardner

This class is for students who have completed Mandolin 3. We'll dig into some of the trickier tunes on the instrument, including "Big Mon," "Wheel Hoss," and "East Tennessee Blues." We will continue to develop our rhythmic chop using 4-finger chords. We'll improve our hammer-on, tremolo, cross-picking, and alternate picking. We'll also focus more on interacting and jamming with each other.

In this class, you will also learn:

• Pentatonic scales in various keys
• Arpeggios in major and minor keys 
• Some tasty licks from Harris' toolbox at no extra cost 

Completion of Mandolin 3 is recommended.

This is an adult class open to students aged 13 and up.
