Bluegrass Jam Survival Guide with Ian Thomas

Learn the fundamental skills that will allow you to thrive in a bluegrass jam. This class will focus on the individual skills needed to make music in a group. Then we will put those skills into action, learning classic bluegrass songs and performing them in a group setting. If you have never played music with a group or just want a more confidant approach in a jam setting this is the class for you.

You will develop facility switching between basic chords, and those playing fretted instruments will become more comfortable using a capo to change keys from one song to the next.

This class will be taught primarily by ear.

All singers and bluegrass instruments are welcome.

This is an adult class open to students aged 13 and up.
