Bluegrass Jamming on Fiddle & Mandolin Workshop with Bryan McDowell

What will a mandolin and fiddle be doing when you encounter them in their natural habitat - that is, with other instruments? This class addresses that question, offering ample master-level advice on kicking off and ending a song, playing the rhythm role (which you will be doing much of the time), backing a vocalist, and improvising and soloing on unfamiliar songs. Let's uncover the tried and true rules for each of these separate supporting and lead roles your instrument can play, and explore the many options at your disposal to complement the song. All ages and backgrounds welcome. Come get your jam on!
