The Basement Tapes Repertoire with Ian Thomas

This class will explore The Basement Tapes, an album many believe to be the birth of Americana. Bob Dylan and The Band melded folk, country and blues traditions into a style of music that would prove hugely influential. We will learn several songs from the album each week and examine the influences and influence of The Basement Tapes. 

Prerequisite: comfort with basic chord forms and a capo

This is an adult class open to students aged 13 and up.
