Fiddle 6 with Jannell Canerday
Let's close out 2026 with more good tunes with more good folks! In Fiddle 6, you’ll continue to have some input on tune selection. (In Fiddle 5, we explored some Kentucky classics, added a touch of James Bryan, and even threw in an Irish jig for good measure!)
We’ll troubleshoot challenges together and find exercises that will enhance our tone, bowing, and comfort while playing. We’ll also spend some more time building our "by-ear" muscles (fear not; it's very safe!), thinking about variations, and personalizing your special fiddle sound. Listen, learn, and play together for joy!
This class will be geared toward picking up tunes by ear in class, and will be supported with practice materials. It's best suited for folks who feel comfortable with the instrument but want to pick up some new tunes, play around with harmonies and backup, and enjoy a community of fellow players!
