Ah the fretboard, what a confounding place! Up is down, out is back, and if you're left spinning out somewhere in the first three or four frets, come along as we open that thing up for business. With or without frets, string players have some unique difficulties when it comes to familiarizing ourselves with the (usually) left hand. That doesn't mean the right hand comes easy, but this class is focused on intervallically learning how our strings relate to each other, and how we can audiate, before we tag note names to the sounds we are looking for.
If you play a stringed instrument, but don't feel connected to the sound you produce; if you think a key or scale, then freeze up; if you have a hard time imagining what you would do further up the neck, this class is for you. The fretboard is a puzzle of mechanics, let's take the mystery out of it, and free up new avenues of expression.

This is an adult class open to students aged 13 and up.
