Guitar 2 with Tristen Brooke

Build on the basics. This class is perfect for the recent Guitar 1 graduate or if you’re looking to dust off that guitar that’s been neglected longer than you care to admit! You'll learn the dreaded F chord, along with some dominant chords. You'll try your hand at strumming patterns that have separate bass notes, as well as patterns that skip the down strokes.
Guitar 2 students will learn:
- New strumming patterns
- New chords: F, Bm, D7, G7, A7, E7
- Additional flatpicking skills
- Major scales and how to use them
Prerequisites:
Guitar 1, or comfort with:
- Reading tablature
- Tuning your guitar
- Major chords: C, D, E, G, A
- Minor chords: Dm, Am, Em
This is an adult class open to students aged 13 and up.
