Mandolin 2 with Harris Gardner

Mandolin 2 will help you expand your repertoire and take your playing to the next level. This course is for advancing beginner mandolin pickers. You will improve your tone and volume on the instrument and develop dexterity as you navigate the strings.

Students will:

• Learn simple melodies and rhythm accompaniments to various bluegrass songs and fiddle tunes
• Demonstrate the ability to play major, minor, and 7th chord shapes
• Play simple exercise patterns using different major scales
• Develop rhythmic chop
• Learn jam etiquette

Previous mandolin playing experience or Mandolin 1 is recommended.

This is an adult class open to students aged 13 and up.
