Mermaid Avenue Repertoire with Ian Thomas

Join Ian Thomas to explore the musical collaboration of Woody Guthrie, Billy Bragg and Wilco. Wilco and Billy Bragg joined forces to write songs using Woody Guthrie’s library of unused lyrics. The results were a body of songs that spanned  from American and British Isles folk traditions to protest music to rock and roll.

The ability to play common chords and easily transition between them is recommended. The instructor will provide tab, notation, charts, and lyric sheets as needed.

Prerequisite: Wilco Repertoire class or teacher approval

This is an adult class open to students aged 13 and up.
