Private Lessons

 Louisville Folk School teaches private lessons - online and in-person options are available for most instruments.

Available in half hour or hour long sessions to study mandolin, fiddle, guitar, banjo, bass, dulcimer, tuba, accordion, trumpet/cornet, sax, clarinet, dobro, voice, ukulele, West African drumming, and theory.

Get one-on-one instruction from any of the instructors at Louisville Folk School.

  • Our standard rate for private lessons is $30 for 30 minutes or $60 for 60 minutes.
  • All lessons must be paid for before they can be scheduled. We charge your card or bank account on file at the beginning of the month for lessons scheduled that month.
  • 24-hour advanced notice is required to reschedule any private lessons. Lessons canceled with less than 24 hours' notice will not be rescheduled or refunded. 
  • In-person lessons are in our Clifton location in Louisville, KY.
  • We offer all of our online private instruction via Zoom.
