Songs of Dolly Parton with Haley Shields

Celebrate Dolly’s legacy! In this class, you will learn the chords and strumming patterns to a handful of her more than 1,000 songs. We will learn to sing and play some of her biggest hits, including "Coat of Many Colors" and "Jolene," and will also spend several weeks learning repertoire from her 37th solo studio album but 1st bluegrass album, The Grass Is Blue.

This class is designed for singers and strummers who love Dolly's music and are comfortable playing the I, ii, IV, V, and vi chords in the keys of D, A, G, C. If you are a banjo or guitar player, consider bringing a capo to class! 

This is an adult class open to students aged 13 and up.
