Songs of Gillian Welch with Julia Purcell
Note: This is a 6-week class that begins on August 18th
Gillian Welch is one of the most skilled Americana singer-songwriters to emerge since John Prine. Her songs are timeless, memorable, and so fun to sing. Join me during this 6-week session as we take a deep dive into Welch’s vast musical catalog. By the end of the semester, we will have learned 12 of her songs, including deep cuts and favorites such as “Wayside Back in Time” and “Everything is Free Now”.
This class is for those who would like to accompany themselves on their instrument, as well as those who wish to use their voice as their primary instrument.
This is an adult class open to students aged 15 and up. All genders welcome.
