Songwriting & Music Production with Juliana Rodriguez
This beginner-friendly group course will guide you through the essentials of songwriting, recording, and music production - no expensive gear required. You’ll learn how to write lyrics, create melodies, and use simple tools to produce your own tracks from home. By the end of the 8 weeks, every participant will showcase their original song, either live or as a recorded project.
You will learn:
- the basics of songwriting
- song structure
- harmony
- melody
- beats
- lyrics
- How to use Soundtrap (music production tool) for recording instruments, MIDI and vocals
You will need to bring your own personal laptop to class every week, and a pair of headphones.
As a student enrolled in this class, you will receive access to the music production software Soundtrap for the duration of the class. If you enjoy it and wish to continue using it, you will be able to extend your license at your discretion.
This is a beginner-friendly class, but participants with prior experience in songwriting or recording will also find it valuable.
This is an adult class open to instrumentalists and singers aged 15 and up.
