Learn the history and techniques of one of the most essential American music styles, Travis Picking. In this class, you will learn about the origins of Travis Picking and multiple picking patterns associated with this fingerpicking style. We will deep dive into many popular Travis Picking songs by breaking the style down into simpler parts and adding them together, piece by piece. By the end of this course, you will be able to alternate bass lines while playing a melody!

Prerequisites: This class is intended for intermediate guitar players who are familiar with most open chords and have some understanding of and/or have attempted barre chords. Consistent daily practice is recommended to ensure success in this course.

This is an adult class open to students aged 13 and up.
