Instructor: Thomas Deakin

Thomas Deakin has been a moving target for twenty years, playing clarinet at a cafe in Bellingham, Washington, cornet with Doreen "the clarinet queen of New Orleans" Ketchens on Royal Street in New Orleans, most recently chunking guitar and hollering with the Possum Holler Reclamators, or squeezing tunes out of his chromatic c system button accordion in the tunnel at Tyler Park.  With no formal education other than being hauled onto the tour bus and touring full time across the western united states for eight years, then continuing to play many styles with many people across the US and Europe, Thomas comes at music primarily from an ear-playing perspective and has recently developed a fascination for music theory.  He loves to play and teach clarinet, cornet, saxophone, tuba, guitar, and introduction to accordion.
